A Laois Music showcase will be held across five venues in Portlaoise on Saturday April 3, Sunday April 4, and Monday April 5.

This weekend is to show the wide variety of music being produced in the county at the moment. Venues hosting gigs include Sky Venue, The Square Bar, Lethean, Bar Habana and Kavanagh's in Portlaoise

The showcase is a fundraiser for a compilation album which will be recorded in Golden Egg studios, Portlaoise during April. This album will feature twenty acts from around the county of Laois

Wristbands will be on sale for the showcase, priced at €10 which will give access to all the five venues for the whole weekend of gigs. These wristbands will be on sale from Anthem Music on Main Street, Portlaoise and in all venues each night.
