Hi folks. I'm looking to get some new tyres for my bike, thought I'd add a splash of colour and as chainreaction have a sale on with free postage i'm thinking of getting a blue and a yellow tyre from their range.

Here's my dilemma though; i'm unsure as to the suitability of these tyres for daily use. I'm not using them for roadracing, more daily getting about, commuting and recreational, just everyday biking about really - are the tyres i've linked below going to be able to stand up to the rigours of dublin's roads? potholes and the like..

    the candidates...

Or any others you can reccomend - doesn't have to be from chainreactioncycles.. would like to keep price down as much as possible but then who wouldn't! I'm happy with a bit of a trade-off in terms of quality vs. price, I'm not racing them I just want something that won't puncture on dublin's hard roads, has good grip for when it rains and will be fun and funky for the summer!

    Thanks guys!

I have the Continental ones you have linked too up above. Cycle around 200km a week on them. Had them for about 3 months now. No problems, seem reasonably hard wearing, no sign of damage yet. No punctures so far either (could be luck), found a splint in the yellow layer once but it failed to go through. One reviewer said they are easy to get on but I didn't find that the case at all. IMO, tough to fit on, take off. Heard complaints of grip but after the shininess wore off after a few days they were fine for cornering at speed, going uphill, if you want cheap and cheerful I'd recommend them.

I haven't pushed them too hard yet but I'm satisfied.
