Not sure exactly what they are called, they look like glasses but insted of glass they have the wire mesh. Does anyone have a pair they could part with?

You could make your own just get some speaker mesh from maplins and a pair of interchangeable lensed glasses, cut the mesh after marking with a stencil made from the lenses

they should just pop in then check them a few times at point blank range.

sweet...:) just an alternative if you can not find a pair

personal would not use speaker mesh seen mixed result and the strength of the mesh used is not the best, stamped steel over mesh weave every time

This is the stuff I meant, is this what you seen mixed results about as I wearing this type at the moment and dont want to take any chances

so far I've only seen woven mesh version and non stood up to testing when people turned up wanting to use them, no idea about the materials use in the picture you posted but a lot closer to the stamp steel versions I've used, tbh if it can not take a burst at fully auto in the same point i do not use them :) also anyone using home made mesh like this if you using them abroad (uk/berget) always best to test them at the higher fps limits for that country
