went for my first cycle in all the gear yesterday:D and i have to say , the difference it makes is unbelieveable.
Once you get over the embarisment at the start you will be flying.
also other cyclists wave at you and give you a nod ,its a good thing.
Anyone reading this ,that is still on the fence about lycra, or are wearing other kinds of shorts over their cycling gear (like i did), just try it once, i gurantee you will never go back.
Lycra is no big deal, its actually pretty cool:D

Apart from my new white bib shorts, which go with absolutely nothing.

How can I phrase this....are they in any way transparent? Have you done a "rainy day" simulation yet?

I think they will look good, next we will have to die your hair brown and apply some Saint Tropez.

Not yet. I'm just posting up early warning in case any other fool is thinking of buying some.

Friends don't let friends buy white bib shorts.

Past few weeks i ve been racking up around 10-14 hours training per week, and my girl friend comes out with the best comment ever !! She told me that “if i wasn’t dressed like an idiot going out the door she'd be convinced i was having an affair”

Roll on the summer and then i ll start getting the sleeveless stuff out .. Lycra rules !!

Another classic GF comment as I was leaving in full lycra attire but had to don a horrible old set of oversize brown sunglasses... I asked if the sunglasses were too ridiculous...

"the sunglasses are not the most ridiculous thing you are wearing, trust me..."
