Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

As an Arsenal fan, ah well - we had a good run

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,435 ✭✭✭✭redout

Arsenal -v- Barca should be a cracker in an attacking sense though I reckon Arsenal will get whooped defensively.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,435 ✭✭✭✭redout

Utd will play Lyon/Bordeaux should they get through

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,591 ✭✭✭✭Aidric

Utd will avoid Barca/Arsenal till the final if either get there.

    United / Bayern -v- Frenchies

    Inter/CSKA -v-v Arse/Barce

Easy run for United I think

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,043 ✭✭✭✭L'prof

Balls, I didn't want Barca so early!!!

Even if we won, we'd prolly have to play Inter? Crap, crap, crap!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,296 ✭✭✭✭gimmick

Thats a fun draw. Soem cracking ties there, and Barca Man U on opposite sides?

And Barca have home advantage for the 2nd leg both times should it transpire that way.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,605 ✭✭✭Fizman

Wow United are poxed. Some draw for them in fairness.

Yep, they should get to the final I'd say.

Tough quarter final for United - better than getting Barcelona, but Bayern scare me with their wingers. Ribery and Robben will be tough to contain!

    Happy with the potential semi-final.

don't see why, Barca aren't known for their defensive stability ;)

    Wow.

As a neutral I'm actually delighted with that draw.

Lyon - Bordeaux: All French tie which will make exciting and intense games!
Bayern - United: Great draw and with United liking to counter attack I can see plenty of goals in this one.
Arsenal - Barcelona: The two best footballing sides in Europe going head to head. Delighted this happened, will be making sure I see these two games :D
Inter - CSKA: Meh, expected one dud. Easy for Inter.

Pretty much perfect run to the final for United.

I am excited about getting Arsenal getting Barcelona.

So, Barca and United kept apart until the Final. Hmm, that seems to suit UEFA and their sponsors. Quite fortunate one must say.

The only thing that went against United is that they are home first in the Semi

Nice draw for Utd as usual.

    Bring on Barca.

Doubt they'll be even fit for it, they are made of glass but I wouldnt be worried about their wingers tbh, I think its a very good draw for us.

tough draw for both united and arsenal..but united have the better semi final if they do beat bayern munich and also we have the second leg of the quarter final at home so thats always an advantage..

Wouldn't have minded swapping Bayern for CSKA either.

If United have to play Barca, I would have preferred it to be over two legs, think they'll win in a one-off in the Bernabeu. Hopefully Inter or Arsenal will do them a favour, I think United will have an easier time with either of them in the final

Random draws are obviously heavily biased towards United.

As usual? Absolote bitter bull from you.

99 win - Barcelona and Bayern in our group, beat Juve and Inter to get to the final

08 win - Lyon, Roma and Barcelona beaten on the way to the final.

Suppose Inter were a rubbish side last year too.

    Such bitter spite.

Good draw with good matches. Hopefully United make it to the final now, I'm only living up the road from the Bernabau :pac::pac:

Dont know about everyone else but a United -v- Bordeaux semi for me wont be a walk in the park. Bordeaux are a strong looking side.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,476 ✭✭✭✭Ush1

If Lyon beat Bord and United win. In the semi, United get the 2nd leg at home again?
