Actually the petulance had nothing to do with feeling hard done by. A full stop in a sentence usually indicates a new sentence has begun, and a new point is about to be made. Rubbish. Gerrard is not tracking back and is not doing much in terms of helping out in defence, neither is Maxi. So them coming off would not hinder the defence.

But Aquilani and Yossi are both good at working back as well as going forward, so I fail to see how them coming on would weaken Liverpool today.


With those two on the pitch, Liverpool would retain the ball much better, and be more of a threat going forward, plus Babel would be there to go at Neville with pace.
