Webb was fairly shocking I thought, but the better side won in the end, United dominated that second half.

    MOTM???? Webb?

The table doesn't lie. Liverpool are a second rate team of under achievers who belong in the premiership mid table. I hope ye like the europa league cos ye might be seeing a LOT more of it;)

Liverpool won't be in Europe next year I'm afraid. Torres will be off in the summer no doubt.

Care to put money on Torres not being at Liverpool next season?

    Gutted with the result.

Was a game that could have gone either way, and is a result that may prove huge to both clubs.

They have tried buddy. They came out of the blocks like a steam train at full tilt; they've put a ton of pressure on the last 10 minutes and carved out a gimme of a chance for our prime attacker. What more do you want from this type of fixture exactly given the match up of these teams in terms of form and ability?

with 30 minutes to go, our best chance of salvaging a point from this game was to stick 2 up front and take off one of our central midfielder. The changes came too late and were too conservative.
Creating one chance doesn't justify the tactics.

2-1 away to United is no disgrace, and i'm certainly not going to be too critical of Rafa about it.

But despite what you may have thought, this was a CRUCIAL match. We've dropped further behind in the race for 4th. We basically need a perfect end to the season now.
I mean you had thrown in the towel with 10 minutes to go.

Sat back way too much at 1-1. Once we went forward at all we looked dangerous, just didn't do it enough. Two decent chances in similar positions for Torres, miscontrolled one of them and bad bounce off pitch for other. Looked a bit rusty with his touch still. Benny probably should have put it away afterward anyway.

Was impressed at how well Rooney holds the ball up when playing up front on his own, Utd kept just knocking it up to him and he held on to it long enough for midfield support. Works well when playing a conservative line up. Reminded me a little of Hughes in the way he did it.

    Get in there!

Overall neither side played at their best but United deserved it. Happy for Park who always gives his best.

    Now come on Blackburn.

United deserved that, Liverpool created very little.

funny comment, considering your team hasnt won the league in 20+ years and we have been quite successful, great run of form isnt it

Do you deny it is true. Yes Man U were the better team in the second half but the ref made an awful decision and gifted Man U a goal. If you cannot see this then TBH we are all wasting our time discussing it with you.

All over, poor result, primarily due to a poor decision from the ref.

Perhaps also due to the fact that VDS had what, one save to make for the whole game?

terrible result for liverpool, cant see them finishing 4th, no chance tbh

good second half performance from United-fair play. park was your best player imo. shame about the shocking decision from the ref in the first half, all we want is for the big decisions to be called right, and it wasn't

I'd keep you money in you pocket if I were you, 4th is looking increasingly unlikely, Even Rafa admits torres may well go if there no CL next season.

First half, Liverpool were better without doubt. I think we were slightly lucky to get a penalty. We were nervous, making mistakes.

Then Ferguson must have delievered a heck of a half time speech. We were solid, hungry in the second half. Thoroughly deserved the win. Fletcher kept Liverpool quiet. Ferguson got the tactical upper hand on this occasion.

Get someone to escrow any bets you want to make, particularly if the amount of money is over €100.

And PM clearly defined terms i.e. "Torres to be a registered player of Liverpool FC after the conclusion of the summer transfer window 2010".
