Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

the mother was cleaning up the desktop to see if the computer would run better if it was less cluttered, and she deleted the program for sound, e.g. speakers and headphones and the like. we're running windows xp.
does anyone know where i can download the sound running program

(above might sound like complete rubbish to ye computer geniuses, so bear with me please)

It's generally not a program you run, it's a driver and it's very unlikely you deleted that accidentally.

What kind of PC is it? ie Dell etc...

Go to the site, find your model and download and reinstall the Audio driver.

are you sure the sound/volumn icon hasn;t been deleted?

go All Program->Accessories->Entertainment->Volum Control and ensure that mute isn't set on every thing.

you go to Start, settings, control panel, system, hardware, click sound, speakers, audio ,advanced, propertys, click box, tick, show volume icon on desktop/tray.
SHE MAY HAVE SET volume to mute and deleted the icon.
Click on volume icon, increase volume, move sliders up.

    Google audio settings control panel.
it,d be hard to delete the audio drivers, by accident.ITS probably set to mute, volume =zero.
