Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

... car insurance cost is lowered when you add a spouse. Surely two people implies more risk?

... you have to pay tax on your savings which is money you've already been taxed on.

I asked my insurer about that spouse thing, answer was "if you have to answer to someone about your car, you're more likely to drive carefully!"
What a pile of s'hite. I kid you not!

Re insurance, they figure 2 drivers will be closer to the average risk compared to one I guess.

Re paying tax on your savings, you only pay tax on interest (profit) on your saving so no further tax on your after tax pay packet.
