A Public Meeting has been called by the Mayor of Waterford City John Halligan and incoming Mayor Mary Roche to condemn what is happening to our vital Search & Rescue Service in the South-East.

The majority of Councillors & Politicians from the south-east will be in attendance and request that as many people as possible come along to voice their concerns.

The bigger the turn-out, the more pressure we can put on the government to reverse this ludicrous decision - each and every person who attends will make a HUGE difference, as the press and media will also be in attendance.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do your best to attend this meeting - one hour of your time may actually help reverse the decision and save a life!

    WEDNESDAY 31st MARCH - 7.30pm - TOWER HOTEL - WATERFORD

Just a reminder about this folks. The public meeting is tomorrow in the Tower Hotel @ 7.30pm.

It is really important that as many people can attend as possible - the bigger the crowd, the better for the campaign and the efforts. Its vital that a strong support is shown as this is a very very important campaign.

The SAR Coast Guard Helicopter is a very important service in the South East region, kept going and very busy. Its out there saving lives in all sorts of weather and conditions and unless we fight the cutback we will loose a major part of this service.

Its still very fresh in peoples minds about the helicopter crash in the Sand Dunes in Tramore, returning from a night time rescue. For the sake of the pilots and crew of that crash and the many other crew and pilots working for SAR in the South East, the many people rescued and the many others who will need rescuing - please come out and show your full support. This is one cutback we can not afford to have and this is one cutback we will fight to the very very bitter end - but only with each and everyones full support.

    Thank You.
