Hi there, any ideas please on following situation

For the last month or two our water pipes (in the hot press) rattle when the hot or cold tap is run, the pipes rattle for a few minutes after aswell.

It is a pressurised system, currently reading about 2 Bar, there is red cylinder type thing in the attic. When I turn the lever on the pipe under the pressure guage there is no difference in the guage reading!.

The hot water pressure in the bath is a bit reduced the last while.

Water heating is by immersion and OFCH.
    Any suggestions please??

its called water hammer, caused by faulty ballcock and/or pipework in the attic to the tank not supported properly. your pressure gauge and the 'red thing' in the attic r parrt of d heatin system, completly separate. its easily fixed, just support the pipes in the attic by clipping them to something, but it could be slightly trickier if pipework needs to be altered, hope that helps. :)
