Have an mgzr - use cigarette socket alot to power mp3 transmitters etc

    and when i switch of car and remove keys its still switched on- im afraid of forgetting and draining battery- anyway to have it ,so that when i remove keys no power will go to cigarette lighter

    I'm not familiar with that car but you could remove the permanent live from the back of it and then tap into the ignition live that runs to the radio and power it from that.

    My work van is the same but it usually sits from Friday till Monday with something plugged in and starts no problem

    Cheers dude might just see will it drain battery . Prob not much voltage been used

    If it is actually charging something then it will drain the battery quickly. Depends on the power draw of the device, but I left a netbook charging for an hour and the battery was dead, thank god for breakdown assistance with insurance :)
