Cord Cut in Two - How to Fix?

Hi Folks, I accidently cut the power cord of my vacuum cleaner into two, about 2 - 3 feet from the plug. It is fully cut off. How might I get this fixed? I'm looking for the cheapest way possible! Located in Dundrum area. Don't have any electrical knowledge myself but can learn if it's simple. Thanks very much in advance!

if u dont mind loosing the length of the cable just stick on a new plug there. or if it is too short may have to replace the whole thing opening up hoover etc
