Today I was in the state library of Victory (swanston st/little collins st). Towards the back and up a floor there is a large wing devoted entirely to literature on chess. There are approx 5 tables where you can place chess too.

Anyone interested in placing chess face to face (as opposed to online via www.redhotpawn.com)? If enough people are interested we could get a tournament going.

e.g. lets say we have 10 people - we could have a league. When people meet up at the library they could place the best of 3 games and then report the result here. If people cannot organise a meet up then the match is struck off or the person who shows up gets a walk over.

    Thoughts?
