Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I am thinking of using an air source heat pump and was wondering how loud the external unit is, would it be too noisy to have outside a bedroom.

I have a Daikin unit and while it is not silent it is not really noisy either. There is an option on it to turn the unit onto quiet mode which means the fan does not spin as fast so doesn't make as much noise, but this also reduces the effectiveness of the unit. With regards to bedrooms the unit is on the side of the house where our bedroom is but it is below a different room, we can hear the unit alright but it isn't anything that would keep you awake. With regards to the room where it is under it is a small bit louder but again nothing that would keep you awake - the one thing is that there are no windows in the rooms on the side where the unit is. Hope this helps.
