I started Teen Wolf lately, not the biggest fan of it, dislike most supernatural crap but I've been told to stick with it.

However just finished season 2 of Hannibal and OMFG! No words!

You should check out the Bravest Warriors on YouTube. It's made by the same guy that created Adventure Time.

If you are a football fan I'd recommend give Class of 92 a watch. An amazing insight of what it took to break into the United first team and the sacrifices they made.

It's one of those movies that I've heard so much about, to the point where I was going in expecting it to be underwhelming. But it was just amazing. I love the part on the building site towards the end where his friend is like "IF you're still f*ckin' working here in 20 years I'll kill you. I'm not joking, I'll actually kill you." (terribly inaccurate paraphrase)

I'm running out of decent tv shows at an alarming rate. Ive pretty much completed Netflix somehow. Currently on S2 of Justified (which is amazing) and s3 of Mad Men but after that I have no idea what to watch!

Any obscure recommendations? Doesnt have to be on Netflix

Watched "The Experiment" tonight. A film based on The Stanford Prison Experiment. Direct to video, but still rather fun. If it weren't based loosely on actual events I'd be saying "Ah here, it's a bit unrealistic that they went that extreme in 3 days when all they had to do was get along and get $14,000..."

I did a bit of reading about that experiment a few years ago after seeing a few of Zimbardo's lectures on TED Talks. Fascinating, messed up stuff. They'd never get away with it today.

Anyone catch the 1st ep of Gotham? Hoping to watch it over the weekend I hope it's good!

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,009 ✭✭✭✭wnolan1992

Tonight's film was "The Fisher King" (Netflix is recommending a lot of Robin Williams' stuff to me now)

So good. Combining moments that made me literally LOL, cringe and tear up at all in one movie. I quite like that even though it was a driving plot of the movie, the love story doesn't overpower the film. Like, it just kinda sits in the background for most of it.

I am LOVING Brooklyn 9-9! It's great after a long ass day were you don't wanna do any thinking

Right folks. I didn't read the thread. Just read the question. I watched Donnie Darko last night for about the 20th time. I'm sorry folks. I love it. Every time I watch it, I pick up something else. Its a gem.

Did anyone watch Bojack Horseman on the Netflix?

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,009 ✭✭✭✭wnolan1992

    Tonight's film was "The Rise".

Imagine Oceans 11 if it were set in Leeds. And if instead of 11 people there were 4. And instead of George Clooney you had the guy who plays Neville in Harry Potter. And instead of robbing a casino for millions of dollars, they were robbing a pub for 50 grand. That's "The Rise" in a nutshell.

But that summation probably sells the film short. It's actually rather enjoyable. And there's also this lovely girl to stare at. Plus it's pretty funny and well written in a lot of places.

    Cracking OST too.

    Would definitely recommend.

On the bright side, once you finish Cheers there's a whole run of Frasier awaiting you! :D

    Bad Teacher?
    Bad movie!!!

Watched it last night, hated it. Regret getting it out of the library.

I've been watching Quantum Leap as well. It is such a great show. I love it so much. I used to watch it with my sis when I was little. So much nostalgia. Al and Sam - best friends forever! :D

Finished watching World Without End earlier. Edge of the seat stuff with the heart going 90. :D

Watched its prequel (set in same place but 100 years apart) back during the summer. Both are such top quality TV and I'd thoroughly recommend.

My gf has read pretty much everything by Ken Follett and really likes both series. Says they are pretty accurate to the books.
