Sound, just remember ya saying you were getting them off a lad who was "in the know" (hat that expretion myself) and couldnt distinguish which ones were and which ones werent, all the best anyway man.

I'd say your above selection will have the run of the race now Grams And Ounces is pulled out of it, prob will go off shorter tomorrow too.

ya hoping for a good run from her alright, seems a clear stand out.
might go in again,il see though..all im looking for is a good run for my money, not like clearwater bay today who came last in a race i quiet fancyd her to win...

imo, warlu way has been running well but dont think the trip and ground are suited to him today and will be a shock if he wins for me.

something small, just think this has a real good chance of placing.
not a big stake due to my bets on placing has been terrible so far, thus been the downfall of my log..
the hamptons@ 9/4 to place,, the win is priced at 10/1
    20

    came 5th,,

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,899 ✭✭✭coughlan08

the above horse came 5th,but he put in an impressive run sense he was the back marker until the he made a move 2 flights to jump,,
i believe if he was not poorly positioned he would of placed....
no harm though happy with today..

does anyone else think that the lay of the day has to be start me up whos running in the last at rosscommon...or am i way off, anyone any info on the horse.thanks
he can be layed at presently for 1.85 on bf..18 run

well im going to lay him now anyway,,i cant get over the price on offer,
not counting lays to the log btw,,,,50

He's a hold up horse and that's how he needs to be ridden. He was in a perfect position but the jockey wasn't trying to get him any closer, he drifted for a reason.

    WON

    was a good 12 lenghts behind the 2 leaders,,he came 3rd..

i still cant believe the price that was on offer,,crazy stuff..
    money in the bag...

thanks pyro never knew that about the horse,,no worries anyway..

I had a sneaky 20 on him, before he drifted. I knew my money was done at that stage. Typically the original one I was going to back ended up winning. The rapid gallop probably wasn't ideal for him but I thought the jockey barely tried and the horse was still on cruise control in the final half mile and never extended. That's why I hate Irish horse racing.

    Good shout with the lay.

Good lay indeed, but this brings me onto a question I've been meaning to ask you for a while Coughlan.

Why don't you back your horses on Betfair?
Far better odds than PaddyPower, or anyone else for that matter.

to be fair, doesnt matter what sport your going to find better odds more often than not on betfair...whats the reason why everyone doesnt do it,im not sure tbh..
i know my reason is that when betting on horses with such short odds sometimes the difference is nothing, and in fact pp can be slow to react to the market, hence the better price, betfair is by far the fastest imo to react to the market,im not taking away the fact that when comparing higher priced horses to betfair their is a massive difference, but i dont back those horses so it doesnt concern me...
maybe it would be a better question to 'someone' who backs higher priced horses..
also i just hate pp for my own personal reasons and just love taking money of that shower...
your right though i prob should but im not going to...
if you want everyones opinion then make a tread,it would be good reading for sure...

going to follow the fella whos been logging his bets here for the last while on the nfl just to see how things go,for purposes 1pt from him will represent 20,
its only small stakes,as i know nothing about the sport but he does and thats all that matters..
    so to start things off......

green bay backers lost,i didnt no whether it was a good game or not as it was my first time seeing a game..

had 5e/w on pyros 50/1 horse who came 3rd..
didnt bother to post as the stake was embarressing, but got a nice return of 64.38.so alls good.

had no horses today other than that, was looking at going in on shopfrontspecialist who won but didnt in the end, will have a few for sure at kemp tomo....laters

That American football game was lost by the Packers due to them beating themselves. Too many penalties. Reminded me of the Dublin v Cork game in the semi's where Dublin self destructed by comitting stupid fouls.

I' recommend you to look at Betfair and Betdaq when you are making the next few horse bets. There certainly can be decent differences with Powers, especially when your lashing the hundreds on at a time.

Better Odds = More Beautiful Cash

Although I read a post from you once saying you prefer to use cash for deposits, so the exchanges will cancel out this advantage.

    May the luck continue!

personally I would just as soon use a shop. I barely have enough willpower in there, the internet just messes with my head aka a certain night where i backed baseball and mls. As .1 of a percent win on betfair and that includes bots you can make your own conclusions. Also I think paddy power and the like throw a limit on you, if you get too far ahead
