Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi guys,

I've to reformat my HDD to FAT 32 from NTFS to enable my PS3 to read my files as well.

I've right clicked on my computer, then went to manage to go into computer management and then selected my HDD.

When I go to reformat it then, the drop down for file system only gives me the option NTFS and not a FAT 32 option.

    Can anyone help please?

Please note FAT32 has a very small file size limit if your using it for HD movies, it may cause issues, otherwise should be fine.

    from wiki:
The maximum possible size for a file on a FAT32 volume is 4 GB minus 1 byte (232−1 bytes). Video applications, large databases, and some other software easily exceed this limit. Larger files require another formatting type such as NTFS.

Also you cannot convert a NTFS drive to FAT32, it has to be deleted and formatted while the reverse is possible without data loss.

As thebman said, the big worry with Fat32 is going to be moving big files around, it can be an absolute pain in the face if you're into high definition video at all :(

Of course, since it'll be for use in the PS3 I understand there's not much choice, but it's something that's bitten me before, so I thought I'd throw in my two cents...
