No, really? Their website is still up and there's nothing there about them closing down. I hate that! We've been ordering from theirs the last few times we wanted to order pizza as the Pizza Hut/Godfather only deliver to City Centre and Westside:rolleyes:

I need to find out if Monroe's pizza delivers...

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,104 ✭✭✭moonflower

No way! That's my favourite pizza

Nice pizza but its a bit expensive compared to everywhere else. Also its nearly always cold when its delivered :(

Shame to see it go though, used to always go in after Cuba.

Eds was good two years ago or whenever they opened first. Its been sh!t since. Any delivery Ive gotten has been cold & just didnt look nice.

Bistro Biannconi has my vote. Especially with the buy one get one free mon/thur vouchers. Mmmmm, the sicilian pizza is the best.

Woah woah woah, hold on. My friend works in town and just passed it. He said it's open and Ed is in there working away.

...OP, what is your reasons for suspecting it's closed?

I was talking to Ed a couple of weeks ago and he said business was fine.

    No way it's closed down.

OP, what makes you think they're finished?

walked past it at about 4 and it looked like business as usual

Definitely. Dammit OP, look at the panic you've caused. Us Galwegians can't do without some New York pizza!

    Phew, sigh of relief here.

Might go in for a slice tomorrow, usually goes down well after a pitcher or two on a tuesday.

maybe because it doesn't open till 4, caused the confusion?

How would it go cold any quicker than any other pizza?

  • Registered Users Posts: 370 ✭✭Fallen Buckshot

maybe they are actualy delivering them FROM new york :pac:

Because of the generous amount of toppings, the heat can't get through to the bread and sauce. And some of the toppings themselves don't get heated enough.

OP, if you're wrong about this, you're way out of line.

Could do serious damage to a business spreading a rumour like that. Word travels quick and people wouldn't be bother checking if they heard that he was closing down.

    If that's true then... boll*cks...

    Because it's thinner?
I'm no scientist but this would be my guess.

Then why did you start the thread by stateing "Ed's new york pizza closed down"

    When it obviously hasn't.

You should give more information than that, otherwise people could draw the conclusion that either you exaggerate unfounded rumours, or you have another motive.
