Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hard Drive Recovery

    Hi folks,

    I've been asked by a friend to look at his HDD (Seagate Barracuda ATA IV 40GB) to see if I can retreive some photos that are stored on it as he has been having problems.

    I checked the hard drive in a USB HD enclosure with no luck. Volume is not being shown in Disk Managment at all.

    Tried again using Knoppix Live CD just in case and nothing again.

    Is there anything else I can try or will I have to look for a commercial recovery outfit

    If so, do you know any that are reasonalby priced?

    TRY hard drive freezer trick, google it, install it in a pc, set jumper to slave mode.
    or hd primary on ide cable 2.
