Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

there's a 1TB external hard drive available in aldi tomorrow for €80. good value (i'd buy it only that i already have an external hard drive)
    http://aldi.ie/ie/html/offers/special_buys3_12413.htm
you'd want to get there early cos they'll sell out quick.

Great thanks for the heads up! I know nothing about hard drives - I usually use G-Raids because they never fail me but I seriously can't afford one now. Had some trouble with Lacie before. Do you know anything about that Medion drive - €80 for a TB - great price - but is it a reliable enough brand? Don't need to do much with it, just transferring data to a friend (once off)

medion are a good brand, i've heard. i've a tevion (aldi) mp3 player that's done me for years and still going strong. obviously western digital are the best brand but medion are a reliable brand.

Generally they use samsung disks may or may not being the same in all of them, medion just provide the outter casing, the disk itself will generally come from one of the few main providers like hitachi, samsung, WD etc..I bought a portable one from them more then 2 years ago..it's had allot of knocks and still works fine so you're fine really the physical disk itself will be produced by a reputable company.

Thanks for advice. Ended up getting this Seagate 250GB, would have prefered the TB but can't even afford the 20 euro difference! Cheapest I found was in Argos €60 - http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/6758648/Trail/searchtext%3ESEAGATE.htm
