    Hi all,

I'm really interested in learning polo, and would love to either take a holiday, or a volunteer placement in an Argentinian polo ranch as a way of jumping into the deep end! :D

Has anyone here gone on a polo holiday in Argentina? Where do they recommend?

Or has any polo player boardsie got some good contacts for me, as it's very likely to be hit and miss if I find somewhere online.....

You can learn how to play in Polo Wicklow, just outside Wicklow town. A lovely crowd and they play arena Polo so weather is not a factor

I second that. I kept my (non-polo) horse at grazing there for a few months last year and can testify that they are a really lovely crowd of people. The Herbst family run it and their daughter Siobhan goes to Argentina every year for the season. YOu could take some lessons there and then ask her about where to go for a good polo holiday in argentina.
