is crooked teeth a turn off

I was wondering how much of a turn off in a guy is it if he doesnt have a perfect set of teeth, nothing too drastic but obviously crooked?I have debated getting orthodontic treatment for years to correct my bite and straighten my teeth but it will involve oral surgery ,take 2 years and cost 5-10k. Sometimes I feel like its to much hassel because its not that noticable when I speak but it is when I smile?
