Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know how easy it is to remove door protector strips (the long ones that run across the door), could you do it easily yourself? How much would it be to have them removed or resprayed the same colour as the car if not? Has anyone tried it before?
    Cheers

howya doin ive done this on my car its really easy to remove them but it leaves a indentation the full lent of the car
you could always do it yourself sand the stripes then primer then top coat then clear coat any good motor factors can mix the paint into a spray can for you just give them the colour code

what car is it by the way

I am looking at: http://www.carzone.ie/search/Honda/Civic/1.7-VTEC/200840190275874/advert?channel=CARS and http://www.carzone.ie/search/Honda/Civic/1.7-VTEC/201011197252920/advert?channel=CARS. Basically civic coupe but I hate the look of the door protectors in the second car and I just want to know how hard it would be to respray them/have them removed if I got one with protectors on it. Any idea of costs?

Cheers for that link to the guide. I would give that a shot but do you have any idea of price to get them sprayed if the glue wouldn't come off fully?

    Cool, cheers for the tips.

Be careful because some cars have these protection strips held on with clips in the door, so no point of taking it out and leave some holes in the door.

Anyone know if that would be the case on the civic in the above link?

They are accessory strips on the second civic.

They will just come off to leave a smooth door so you could just remove them, good clay bar and polish of the area and you're sorted

All of that model here and in UK did without strips. They were dealer fit accessories
