Live music and best club

Gonna be in Athlone this Sat. Anywhere you know has definitely live music and, if so, from what time? Also, is Q or Karma the better club? Also, what's the likelihood of the bouncers saying no to a group of 10 guys? Think need to book (or can you book?)? Thanks
