Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

MS released an update so that can no longer be done, unless you go back to the older firmware but then you can't use Live. Only MS hard drives will work now as far as I know.

very tempting, about time prices came down. if i dont get this, at least it might bring down the prices of new and used 120gb HD.

Well im about 40 gig into my 120 drive and it had tons of things I could delete if i was bothered so I would not bother unless i was close to the 100 gig of used space on my drive.

don't forget about the rumored update coming this spring that will allow you to use a 16gb memory stick to store your data.

    That's a bit funny

    7dayshop Price £69.99
    UK RRP £34.99
    Your Saving £-35.00 :)

There is no way the UK RRP is £34.99. £69.99's a good price, I upgraded before christmas to 120GB for around €50.

I'd imagine they left out the 1 - knowing MS it will retail at £134.99.

question guys, if I buy the 250gb hd for my current console, can I then use the old 20gb hd with a new arcade? or will it involve some tomfoolery to get going?

also, is there a chance in the future ms can detect the hack if you follow slave1 and docentore?

The harddrives are transferable between consoles no problem. Your old 20GB can be used on any console, new or old as you see fit.

Not sure about Microsoft's ability to detect the rogue HDDs being recommended. My guess is no since they seem to be targetting rogue DVD drives and such which enable pirating of games.

On another note Eurogamer reports that the RRP for the new 250GB drive is going to be £64.99 so look to see the price coming down closer to release date.

Amazon have now listed it under their own seller option at £74.99 - again I'd expect that to drop closer to release with the above story from Eurogamer filtering through to suppliers.
