Question regarding o2 mobile broadband and htc g1/android phones

This may sound stupid but I have an o2 broadband dongle which i use for my laptop,if i put the sim in it into my g1 phone will it just use my data or cost me extra?

No, it should work fine, and use the data out of your allowance once you get it to connect to open.internet rather than dol.ie etc
