Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sons Civic is for the NCT tomorow and only discovered today the spare wheel is not secured down.
Does it have to be secured to pass?

I think it has to be secured properly. Check the manual on the NCT website for details.

On the other hand a spare wheel is not required for the NCT, so you could just take it out for the test and hope you don't get a puncture on the way there :)

I passed test with (steel) spare on the car with 3 alloys otherwise and an odd alloy in the boot and not secured down.

As long as the wheels on each axle are the same size it doesn't matter as long as they are in acceptable condition. An insecure spare should have failed though - you got lucky :)
