Normal Records are proud to present the new album by Corks premier musical madmen, Los Langeros:

    This Is Normal

The first single, Greasy Coat, is available now for FREE DOWNLOAD from
    http://loslangeros.bandcamp.com

'This is Normal' was engineered and produced with John 'Spud' Murphy, former bass player with the sadly missed Ilya K.
Original track recordings took place in Kerry Pike, Cork. In a farm house surrounded by wild horses. Brass parts were recorded with collaborators in Cork and the UK before moving on to a veteran jazz club in Belgium. Punk/poet, Jinx Lennon, provided a searing vocal cameo before the album was completed back in Ireland's 'Granny It’s OK' Studio in Waterford.

The band will be playing a launch gig in the Crane Lane Theatre on Saturday 27th of March before embarking on a tour of Eastern Europe and Russia.

'This is Normal' will be available at the show or for download from

Los Langeros are a demented, concoction of country-tinged goat-punk rockabilly.
The earliest incarnation busked the streets of Melbourne, to various rapturous and violent reactions, when Phil Langero met the mercurial Scottish artist, The Nodge, in Victoria, Australia. They reformed having met again back in the swampy depths of Cork, Ireland, enlisting electric mandolin player Pedro Dolphino.
Los Langeros rhythm sections came and went for a while (drummers invariably succumbing to 'The Curse of the Langeros Drummer'). 3 CDs of very diverse sounds reflected their disparate influences - from Hank Williams to Nomeansno and Tom Waits- resulting in what one reviewer called ‘the most intense and ****ed-up country music ever put to record’.

In 2008 the line-up was completed with the arrival of Joe Bandito on bass and Keri Cajones (ex-Brawl) on drums. They joined with Tenpastseven (OOAL Records) to become Ireland's Highest Bands, climbing the country's highest peak, Carrauntouhil, and releasing a split 7” single in commemoration of the achievement.
Los Langeros have been festival regulars with Electric Picnic, Kilkenny Rhythm N Roots, Waterford’s Spraoi, Galway Arts Festival, Mantua and Hard Working Class Heroes. With a backlog of club gigs to put most bands to shame, the band have also survived several UK tours.
