Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Audi A4 leak

I recently bought a 2006 1.8T Audi A4. Happy out with my new wheels until my father in law called around last weekend....

.....as I was driving out he noticed a patch of liquid in the driveway. It's a watery fluid and looks clear. Appears to be leaking from under passenger side. There are no service lights on in the dash. Liquid dried up leaving no residue on bricks so couldn't be oil.

Of course I paniced and brought it back to dealer (non-audi). I told them I thought the coolant looked low so they checked it out and said they couldn't find anything wrong and it could be overflow from the the a/c condenser or something?

I dunno, any ideas? I have a 12 month warranty so not that worried but if anyone has any ideas let me know.

Sounds like the overflow from the A/C to me if it's clear and leaves no residue.

Just keep an eye on coolant and oil levels, apart from the coils not much really goes wrong with that engine.

It's the a/c condenser. It even mentions it in the manual, so nothing to worry about.
