    its an interestin theory, and one thats been bounced around here a few times before, I do believe that there is an element of conditioning involved in a lot of these SciFi series, now not in a - Hey Look theres a Secret Ancient Base in a Distant Galaxy, Lets go live there- kinda way, but smaller more subtle concepts are snuck into the overall story arcs, the Ancients being a good example, These are the Stargate 'Gods' but the Backstory is rather interesting and may ruffle the feathers of some of the more religious amongst us
