Hi all,

I recently bought a nokia 6303. I really like the phone, but I find the ringtones and message alert tones are just too low (even at highest volume level). I've checked the internet and apparently this is a well known problem. There is a thread about it in the nokia forum, however there seems to be no solution. Even upgrades to the latest firmware doesn't help.

I was wondering if anyone on boards has experienced this? I have even gone to the trouble of extracting a ringing tone from an old phone, increasing the gain and pitch, and putting it on the 6303 - but it doesn't sound great. I'm only looking for a simple ringing tone - no fancy music!

Any ideas? Cheers!

Check and make sure there's no plastic or anything covering the speaker too. You'd be surprised how often that happens
