Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi. I have a peugeot 306 1.9 diesel 40000 miles only 1998. The fuel pump is gone and I do not want to pay to fix it so does anyone want to take it for free. The only thing I need to figure out is getting my road tax back, Sadly tax office not answering phone because they want more money.

What part of the country are you in?

The only way to get your road tax back is to offically scrap the car.

What condition is the rest of the car in? I'd be interested in it....my brother is looking for a cheap run-a-bout!

Fuel pump on diesel is a tad more complex than replacing one on a petrol so anyone reckoning this is a cheap car (even for free as is) would want to have a think about it. In saying that in parts it's worth a few quid, also well worth getting ship shape in my opinion, 100s of thousands of miles left in it.

Thanks for the advice guys. I have decided toscrp it. Only €25 with the council to take and then I can get my €300 back on motor tax.

Not trying to tell you your business now work but I am sure someone here would be glad to give you the €300 for that car. Help someone with a tight budget get on the road.

A cheap, low mileage (65k iirc) 2000 1.8 Citroen Xantia wth FSH is the car for him . I just might know a guy with one. :)
