    Install logmein.com on your machine, disconnect the monitor from the PC, and install some hidden speakers in the room.

    Do an audio recording of the door opening downstairs, with you saying "hello". Next time you see him snooping around via logmein, play the audio file. He'll think you've just come in, and panic. And when he doesn't see you, he'll question his sanity.
