Help me choose my name from these two options....

Ok Guys ....

My Real name is Barry McGuire but there is already a famous musician called Barry McGuire who dominates the search engines. So for marketing purposes I have to change my name so that people can find me easily if there looking for my music. It is also imortant that i can get www.myname.com as i will be building a site and brand around the name.

I wanna keep my first name so people can still call me Barry. I have narrowed it down to 2 to make it easy for you guys to help.

Barry Shock : I like this as it's unique. There is no other Barry Shock, it's short, simple, easy to remember spell etc....barryshock.com was also available to register

or

Barry Marcello: I like this as my initals remain BM and i sign most documents using BM. It sound kinda cool and it is acan actually be a real name not like Barry Shock. barrymarcello.com was also available to register

So discusss. I'd like to hear your opinions.

Would you consider Barry Chuckle as an option? It's light-hearted but memorable and sounds like it could be a real name. Also, I haven't heard it used before in show business. I'd prefer Barry Chuckle to Barry Shock as it sounds more friendly - Shock is a very harsh-sounding word. Marcello is just too forgettable as a name.

To be honest they all sound a bit rubbish to me.

I don't know what it is with solo artists using their first names...but it instantly conjures up a specific type of music for me and if I don't like the sound of their name, I am unlikely to give them a listen.

I like Shock, but it doesn't go with Barry. Marcello is just a bit random and doesn't really seem to have a purpose. Barry Marcello sounds like a hairdresser.

I think the best solo artist names are either totally plain and ordinary sounding ie. Michael Jackson, Bob Dylan, Dave Matthews or are completely different and non-name like ie. Simple Kid, Badly Drawn Boy, Aphex Twin, The Streets etc.

The busker boy is awful too. As is Busker Barry - both sound like a crazy character in a teen comedy novel.

I used have nick name 'shock' a while back so that how i thought of it.

I think i'll drop the Busker idea too..Allot of people are saying it just sounds cheap...
