Just came into my head as soon as they announced about pubs being able to serve alcohol on good friday in limerick.
How many people will now be going to limerick ONLY because you can get drink there easily on the day?
Me, i dont drink much, wouldnt bother me at all, but there has to be a percentage of people who will come for this!

To be honest, it's the first time I've ever had a reason to think about going there...

Looks like we can have our AH Beers on Good Friday after all...

Why go to Limerick when you can just buy booze and drink in your house?

Not only do you have a drink problem if you travel down to Limerick just to drink but you're also stupid too as you can do it without all the hassle of leaving the Pale. ;)

I would if I was in Limerick regardless.

But seeing as I'm not, why bother?!

I'll just go to the offy the day before...

Are you that desperate for a drink on Good Friday? Also, the place will be packed, not good IMO

In fairness, the big drinkers of Ireland all already have lock-ins planned for Good Friday.

The only people who will brag about being able to get drink are people who are merely social drinkers!

Limerick is actually a nice city, with nice people and the craic is good on match days.

I have been going there for years never had a problem

Making reasonable statements is frowned upon in these parts.

I'm going putting on my kevlar and taking the risk. Beer in one hand, AK47 in the other, all those Limerick scobes will be no match for me. Then I shall go back to the safety of Dublin where I can leave my door unlocked at night and not have to worry.
