Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Why aren't there more "wet weather" circuits on the F1 calender

as in, why aren't there grand prixs in countries which have a good chance of rain? What does it seem to be a rule that circuits have to be in generally warm countries? Grand prixs are always more exciting in my opinion when its raining.

cos too much rain is worse than no rain, the whole race behind the safety car?

also I'm sure they'd say its unsafe in some form too.

They really should have the UK GP as opener, good chance of rain at that time of the year :D

Don't forget, people pay to go and see races.

You're at the track for a long time, so the sunnier the better

Changeable conditions detract from the purity of competition.
F1 is off for the winter and always has summer in Europe.
Money, as in more fans through the gates.

UK, Belgium, Germany, Brazil, Japan all have a chance of rain. Its not good to have wet race in countries where a bit of rain means the entire circuit is washed out and flooded e.g. Fuji in Japan or Malaysia last year. For a good wet race it needs to be wet for a while but not too wet that the cars running cant dry out the track and make a dry line.
