Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have this, a slight miss at idle that you feel as a vibration though the car more than hear. About every 5 to 7 seconds sounds right.

the car is a four year old petrol Octavia.

    should I be worried?

I will assume when the op said at idle that it wouldnt be wheels moving....

OP... when was car last serviced? had an issue like this before and it was because moisture had gotten on to one of the spark plugs... causeing it to misfire and shudder every so often at idle....
new set of plugs and a clean sorted it out..

the 1.4 is the 16v 75PS engine as used in the Golf.

    could be plugs/leads/coils

serviced about 9 weeks ago, still under warranty so I'll let the dealer take a look.
    Thanks for the replies.:)

The crankcase breather should be cleaned out during every service on these engines as they regularly get clogged and is a very common cause of idling issues with these.
