Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

EOS 450D Software

    Hi All

    I have a new laptop but seem to have lost the software CD I got when I bought the camera. Anyone have any idea where I can get a copy of the software on the CD..

    Checked the Canon site but can't find it..Can only find update software in the 450D section.

    OK, figured it our from a post on another website.

    Create a notepad file and copy the following into it, save it as .reg rather than .txt , e.g. canon.reg

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Canon\ZoomBrowser Ex\Settings]
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Canon\ZoomBrowser EX\Install]
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Canon_Inc_IC\ZoomBrowser EX\Install]
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Canon\EOS Utility]
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Canon\DPP]
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Canon\ZoomBrowser EX]
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Canon\PhotoStitch]

    Double click and it'll enter those values into the registry.

    Then you can download the update files from the Canon website and install them without being asked for the original software...
