    Well lads!

Chris from the band Ghetto Amaretto.

I would like to cordially invite you all to the Launch Party/Gig for our sophomore e.p., coincidently entitled "For Every Him, Her, and They". Tuesday, April 13th sees Da Ghetto take over Cyprus Avenue, to say 'thank you' to the city which has nurtured us like it was our own. Playing support on the night are D.J. Duo "I.D.". Entry is €5, with a free copy of the e.p.!

A bit about the gig is up online at Hotpress.com; http://www.hotpress.com/Ghetto Ama...y/6342107.html

At just over 2 and a half years together, Ghetto have achieved a lot for a young, independent, Irish music group, punctuated with highlights which include; recording 2 e.p.s, delivering our debut music video (see; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvyNt34yOls ),having a successful single, an appearance on Balcony T.V. (see; http://www.balconytv.com/Video-Archi..._AMARETTO.aspx), and supporting the Frank & Walters (a position once occupied by Radiohead). Along the way, we have been honoured to play a number of career-affirming gigs at venues and festivals close to our hearts, such as the world-famous Spiegletent, The Plaza Stage at Waterford's Spraoi Festival, Trámore's Kavfest (formally Tráfest), and headlining The Forum's renowned indie-club "Traffik". Our recent triumph in the U.C.C. Battle of the Bands - coming out on top of 16 highly talented bands - has once again rejuvenated and reinvigorated the hunger each member posesses for constently delivering the renowned live performances which have gotten us this far. April 13th will be a celebration of all these, and all things Ghetto. Meanwhile Chris is also using it to celebrate his 21st Birthday. Two months late. How bad???

To honour these successes we've been lucky to have so far, and to say 'thank you' to all those who helped along the way, we intend to make quite the big event out of the launch. We have concocted an interesting mix for the night; support will be supplied by a Cork group called I.D., who are a minimal/techno d.j. group - mixing things up with an interesting juxtaposition (or maybe complementary?) style. We hope to embrace the potential of the event - so please play a part of it - and lets make it a defining night for the band, and for you.

Bring your friends - it'll be sooome craic boi!
