    Hi,

I want to buy some equipment in my own name but I will be using it for the service my company provides.

Can I personally pay for the equipment and claim the VAT back through the company?

Can I invoice the company for the equipment including the VAT I paid?

Forgive the stupid questions but I can't find any info that tells me one way or the other.

    Cheers

Short answer is no, you cannot invoice the company inclusive of VAT if you yourself are not VAT registered. plus if you are prepared to do this why not let the company buy it in its name in the first place
