Hey, minnie my gerbil who is 1 year 9months is looking a bit weak and shaky, she is eating fine-quite hungery actually and her cagemate seems fine.
her fur is a bit ruffled looking and eyes were half shut earlier now they aren't at all.
Anyone know what is wrong with her?

Hi, could they be mating? Faysey, who is a moderator for pets and animals here knows her gerbils and mice pretty well,, perhaps you could send her a message and see what she says.

Doesn't sound good at all, she's sick and needs a vet asap. With smallies they go downhill fast. They can suffer from diabetes or it could be an infection of some kind.

I agree with guinea pig rescue, she doesn't sound too good. It'd be safer to see a vet, or at least call one and ask them if you should bring her in.
