how do i set up outlook express?

Hi
I have outlook express on my lappy but when i try to send emails i get a error screen "The host smtp could not be found please vearify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: pop3 server smtp, protocoll STMP,port 25 secure (ssl) no.socket error 11001 error number 0x800ccc0d"
can anyone help?

OP, obvious question but do you have an email account set up with some provider first?

yes i have an eircom address set up but I dont know if it is the one set in outlook How can i check?

Did you actually bother checking the link I posted? If you did and still don't know I don't know how to help you.

Tools -> Accounts -> mail tab -> select onethen properties or add one
I think smtp.eircom.net and pop.eircom.net should work, you may have to play with the other settings

Just find out what version of Outlook Express you are using by clicking 'help' --> 'about microsoft outlook express' and follow the instructiions on the link above.
