Got a leaflet in the Sunday World about this.

They say it can be up to 76% cheaper than Xtra-Vision.
    Also no late fees.
Free delivery direct to your door.
    2 Week free trial.

Check out all the details here

Perfect for all you people who just want to sit in with a film.
And they say they have the largest library in Ireland.

Definitely worth a look at imo.

They've a big billboard advertising this outside the Sligo store.

But these DVD-rental-to-your-door services are a dime-a-dozen nowadays with the majority of them starting well.. and as soon as they get popular, their despatch times get slower and slower and their selection gets poorer!

Xtra-Vision / ChartBusters regularly new release deals (e.g 2 for €4)... I'd recommend that ahead of these companies.

That may be very true and I agree.

But I thought it was something worth sharing anyways.

Definitely.. the 2 week free trial alone is worth the thread.

    Cheers!

Its just a branding deal. The dvds are coming from screenclick. Lidl have zero to do with it. Anpost have a similar setup.

    Ahh.. so they are!
LidlMovies is operated by Screenclick (a trading name of DVDRentals.ie Ltd), the online DVD Rental specialists, on behalf of Lidl Ireland GmbH. It is run by a team of film enthusiasts with a keen entrepreneurial spirit and a wealth of experience.

But just use it for 2 weeks ;)

An Post are also doing the same deal. Their prices after the 2 weeks are all €1 higher than those of Lidl and the options are identical, (Except An Post has a 4 dvd at a time deal)

It is rebranded Screenclick. If you are a screenclick member, try inputting your credentials, and bingo - it works!
As a screenclick customer just mail them and request to change over your account to the Lidl deal. You may loose out on the free 2 weeks but you'll save anyhow.
