I read somewhere that you can send text while abroad useing your laptop where the sim (Vodafone-Meteor-02) goes in to an adaptor in the laptop, anyone heard of it. Just enquiring

Some laptops can take a simcard in them, or plenty of ways to use the sim with the laptop via modem, usb reader etc.

Im not sure what this has got to do with being abroad? You can use ofcourse webtexts free of charge from the laptop with an internet connection.
