exemptions for languages.

    I have an exemption in Irish and French can i still join the Gardas.

    When recruitment opens again.

    What was the reason for the exemption?
    You need 2 languages, one of which must me English or Irish
    So if you have another language apart from english your fine....
    Do have another another language??

    A qualifying grade in 2 languages, 1 of which must be English or Irish, as follows:
    English: a grade not lower that D3 at Ordinary Level
    Irish: a grade not lower than C3 at Foundation Level or D3 at another level
    Other language: a grade not lower than D3 at Ordinary Level, and A grade not lower than D3 at Ordinary Level, in not less than 2 other subjects

    Reson dysleix ya I saw that thats the resons for asking i only do english in school.

    I had a look at that link there but it doe's not say anything about if your were exempt from languages. Is there any contact no. you could ring to find out about people that were exempt from certain subjects in school?
