So for April I plan on steering away from our regular "lets do x activity and then go to the pub" idea...

I am hoping that in April we can focus on activities that have been popular in post polls but never made it to the top spot...this may mean that we have more meetups this month (but with less people at them) but I just want to see how it goes...

Some of the great ideas from the past that we never (or seldom) did were:

    Karaoke Night
    Photo Walk
    Coffee Evening
Attend a show theatre / comedy etc..
    Swimming
    Paintball
    Lunch Meetup
    Handball
Weekend Trip (maybe Galway / Dublin)
Train trip to Cobh and then a walk around.
    Tour of Fota Wildlife park...

If you anything else to add please do so!

I have added a poll to include a few opinions they may have of the meetups, just to guage what people think, they have been running for a long time now (votes are private and multiple choice - PM me if you want to say something about them).

Last note - If you have something you want to do / suggest then POST IT! (or PM and I'll do it on your behalf and won't give your name if you wish).

What do you think about the meetups? 112 votes

Firstly I haven't attended any meetings but are intending to in the near future - can only do weekends though due to work placement! I have to say I'd be very interested in any of the following, in particular the photo walk - sounds fun :)

    Photo Walk
    Coffee Evening
Attend a show theatre / comedy etc..
Train trip to Cobh and then a walk around.
    Tour of Fota Wildlife park...

Tutty, there are way too many options there, and now my head hurts :(:p if people dont get to vote on a specific activity how can it be decided?

Someone posts saying "Anyone want to do karaoke on X night"... and we take it from there..

So nothing will happen this month until someone suggests it! That is the difference this month (as normally I would organise something myself which I might still do...)

So corkcomp what do you want to do this month? and when?

Nope, 'twas in Liverpool a year or so ago. Also had huge blisters on my hand from the gas in the gun freezing the handle / trigger area. Nasty business, fun at the time though but I was in bits for a week or so after it. Looked like I had some terrible disease

I like all the bruising, it's what paintball is all about. No pain no fun. Otherwise just go play Laser Quest, or on an XBox or something

    My suggestions:

    2 drinking nights, 1 weekday and 1 weekend :P
    Comedy night :D
Karaoke night (which itself would provide a lot of comedy) :o
Roman orgy night (21+ only ROAR)

Hehe, thought I'd throw that in there

Actually, a house party would be a cool idea, but one of us has to have a place big enough ...

Good gay bars can be really fun, used to go to them abroad a lot with girls (some girls find guys kissing really horny). But I think the gay bars in Cork are more cock-fest pulling places :pac:

    Chambers is excellent imo

Go there a lot with my sister and her gf and don't think there are to many guys to be honest, there were maybe a few more guys than gals but not much.

Please don't have the meetup in chambers :-( what about going to a female gay bar if such a place exists in cork?

Funnily enough a gay guy suggested I go there, so I asked him if it was mixed, he said it was nearly always all male ...

In Britain (and elsewhere, even Dublin) the gay clubs/bars are normally a bit more liberal than your average club, dancing on tables and such, so there's a good reason for straight people to go, it's a party atmosphere, but unless you're gonna get that here I wouldn't bother personally! But I'm willing to have a look.

Thursday is the first of April, we gotta start the month as we mean to go on i reckon!
Early enough meet up which means everyone is hammered by closing time of 12am, that is if we go to a pub...?
