Poor Bessie

On Friday night, Bessie had a nasty accident. She ran out my back garden and ran into a big terracota plant pot. She sliced open her leg and severed a vein and needed lots of stitches.
I thought because the pots were so heavy, she would not be able to knock the pots over and break them but once again I have underestimated a staffies brute force!:D
I had to bring her to the emergency vets in Lissenhall. (who were fantastic!) The poor little pet had to stay in overnight and was so sick on Saturday as she had not fasted before her anaesthetic. :(
She is much better now and is doing well.
Thank God she is ok, though!!!

OOOOOh Laura, When I hovered over the thread I just saw
On Friday night, Bessie had a nasty accident. She ran out...
I thought you were going to say she got hit by a car or something. Thank god she's ok.

Paul, yep that sort of headlong rushing and not really caring what they knock on the way is a trait of staffies but it's a trait of boxers too so you're no clearer now :D

Well mine has ran straight into an iron lamp post and just kept going :D You should have heard the thud! She's gotten black eyes on various occasions too!

    Stafadorisation - Brilliant :pac:

Loving that new breed. Stafadorisation. Genius!

Yes, Maikomi she looks so funny. People are being so much nicer to her with her cast though. My neighbours who usually glare at her evily were all cooing and pointing yesterday. It was like when Malibu Stacey got a new hat. Same dog but with a cast looking injured she is suddenly no longer the devil dog. Idiots. I wonder will they revert to disliking her when it comes off.

Sorry for scaring you, Helena. :D Hows Harvey?
