Magura rim brakes work pretty great. But so do a decent set of V-brakes, properly setup. Not worth the upgrade money, I'd say. Disk brakes work great too, but only really show their worth in the wet or muck, where they work much better than every type of rim brake. What type of v-brakes do you have now and what's the problem with them?

I've a set of HS33s (silver) that have been sitting in the shed for a while that I'd be prepared to sell. 50 euro (no offers)
    They are excellent brakes!
