Anybody ever come across child locks for velux windows?
Can't seem to find any online, need to lock a window but ideally without a key.

    Any help appreciated.

There is something built into the window which will lock it in the open position, where the window is only open an inch or two, which prevents the wind from catching the window.
And this crowd do a lock but with keys unfortunately http://www.saundersonsecurity.co.uk/acatalog/Wood_Window_Locks.html

Have you tried going back to the manufacturer? If it was installed since2005 it should have come with child safe restrictors. Failing that, you should be able to change the existing hinges for restrictor ones. I take it this is what you mean by "wanting it to lock"? If you can't get in touch with manufacturer, any reputable velux installer should be able to help you.

    Hi

Presumably this is a Velux centre pivot window! Velux do have a security lock but it is with a key. Alternatively you can get a opening restrictor which is also with a key. Both are £25 + vat excluding delivery. Please email as follows if you wish to purchase.

Another option would be to upgrade your existing window to electric operation.

Please do not hesitate in contacting me should you have any questions

    Many thanks
